This ticket tier is recommended if your income is over $75,000/year.
All are welcome at GroundShift, regardless of your income or financial situation. Our ticket tiers reflect our goal of supporting access to the event. Assess your situation (including savings, expenses and outside support), and choose the tier that is a "stretch" but not a hardship. Recipients will be notified by May 1.
A limited number of full scholarship tickets are available for individuals facing economic hardship.
Subsidized – $125
Recommended ticket tier if your income is below $35,000/year and you do not have other streams of financial support.
The retreat site is accessible a variety of different ways, though we recommend shuttle bus or car. Public transportation is tough.
To make travel easier, we’ll be running a bus from Manhattan to the retreat site, and back again! See below for details. It’ll be a great way to plug into the community, with special bus programming! Hope on board.
Price: $50 round trip

Parking is available for the rare New Yorkers who own a car. Stay tuned for more details. If you plan to drive, we encourage carpooling. This should be arranged using the Facebook event page. To get here, simply follow your GPS to Camp Hilltop in Hancock, NY. Parking is free on-site. Signs will be posted to direct cars arriving at the camp.
Hancock, NY is 140 miles from both the Albany airport and Newark International Airport. Publicly available buses leave from Port Authority station in NYC to Hancock twice per day.
Other practical Details
All attendees will be assigned a bed in a shared cabin. Please bring your own sheets, pillows, blankets, and towels. It’s camp, after all! To see more info about gender and housing, please visit our FAQ page.
Meals and Drinks
All meals, including food for folks with dietary restrictions, will be provided in the camp cafeteria. Saturday night's party will include wine and beer.
Here's our ticket refund/cancellation policy:
- Cancel May 7 or earlier: Full refund
- Cancel May 7-18: 50% refund
- Cancel May 18-25: no refund available
